Start gathering your financial records and complete your tax returns early. Parents and students will use their 2010 tax returns to apply for financial aid.
- To apply for aid, complete the 2011-2012 Free Application for Federal Student Aid at sfasu.edu/go/fafsa.
Most SFA scholarships have a February 1 deadline. Complete the SFA General and Alumni Scholarship applications online. The application, as well as other information about all SFA scholarships, is available online at sfasu.edu/go/scholarships.
- The University Scholars and University Regents applications also are due February 1.
- Check your mySFA e-mail account for important SFA information.

- Feb. 1: Deadline for most SFA scholarships
- If you have not applied for housing, now is the time. Submit your application and required deposit via your mySFA account.
- Plan on completing the fafsa this month, if you did not do so in January.

- SFA will be closed for Spring Break March 16-18.
- If you are applying for financial aid, the FAFSA form is due. The financial aid priority deadline is April 1. The form is available at sfasu.edu/go/financial-aid.
- Register online at sfasu.edu/go/orientation for one of the summer orientation sessions. The summer orientation packets are mailed to admitted freshmen students, and information on transfer days will be mailed to admitted transfer students.

- April 1: Priority financial aid deadline for fall semester
- Mid-April: Office of Student Financial Assistance begins mailing award letters to those who met the April 1 priority deadline
- April 23: Statewide THEA test date
- April 29: Express Transfer Orientation
- Submit a copy of your immunization record to the SFA Health Clinic. The immunization form and requirements are located at sfasu.edu/go/health-services.
- Admitted transfer students should receive early registration instructions and Transfer Orientation information.
- Check your mySFA e-mail account for financial aid awards.
May
- May 14 - Sept. 17: The Office of Admissions will be closed on Saturdays.
- For students taking AP courses, send your AP scores to SFA (code 6682).

- June 9 - 10: Orientation Session I for incoming freshmen

- Incoming freshmen must have an official copy of their final high school transcript mailed to SFA before the fall semester.
