SFA's Piney Woods Camerata to perform

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University College of 
Fine Arts and School of Music will present the Piney Woods Camerata at 
7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus. 

This will be the fifth concert presented by the conductor-less ensemble 
created in 2007. Performers for this concert include SFA string 
students and faculty members Jennifer Dalmas, violin; Gene H. Moon, 
viola; and Evgeni Raychev, cello.

The concert will feature Arcangelo Corelli's Concerto Grosso Op. 6, No. 
5 as a part of the group's mission to perform all 12 concerti grossi of 
the Italian composer and violin virtuoso before the 300th anniversary 
of his death in 2013, explained Raychev.  

The musicians will also perform works by Johann Christian Bach, Johann 
Sebastian Bach, Jean-Baptiste Lully and W. A. Mozart.

Cole Concert Hall is located in the Tom and Peggy Wright Music 
Building, 2210 Alumni Dr.
