SFA A Cappella Choir to perform

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS-The A Cappella Choir, the premier vocal ensemble at Stephen F. Austin State University, will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 8, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.

Under the baton of Tim King, director of choral activities at SFA, the choir will perform the program it presented while on tour to high schools primarily in the northwest Houston area. Between Sunday, Feb. 21, and Wednesday, Feb 24, the ensemble performed 12 concerts, including evening programs at Blinn College in Brenham and St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston.

Highlights of the program include Kenneth Leightons' "What Love is this of Thine" and a choral arrangement of Percy Grainger's "I'm Seventeen Come Sunday." The concert is a joint presentation of the SFA College of Fine Arts and School of Music. Cole Concert Hall is located in the Wright Music Building, 2210 Alumni Dr.
