'Steel Magnolias'

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - SFA theatre students rehearse a scene from Robert Harling's classic comedy "Steel Magnolias," which the SFA School of Theatre is presenting in W.M. Turner Auditorium as part of its summer season. The play centers around six women of Chinquapin Parish who regularly congregate at Truvy's Beauty Salon and help each other through the best and worst of times.

Audience members who attend the 2 p.m. show on Thursday, July 5, can have sweet tea and snickerdoodles with the cast afterwards in Griffith Gallery (located across the hall from Turner Auditorium). The play will also be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 6; Saturday, July 7; and Tuesday, July 10. A 2 p.m. matinee will also be offered on Sunday, July 8.
