NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - An exhibition of the work of artist Robert Rauschenberg, which had been on display earlier this year in the Griffith Gallery on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University, has been moved to The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House where it can be viewed throughout the summer.
"Robert Rauschenberg: Four Decades of Work on Paper" is an exhibition of 18 of the artist's creations offering an insightful cross-section of Rauschenberg's long and varied career, according to John Handley, galleries director for the SFA School of Art.
The exhibition initially opened April 23 in conjunction with the opening of the SFA School of Theatre's production of the play "bobrauschenbergamerica."
The exhibition can be viewed through Aug. 31. All exhibitions are free and open to the public.
The Cole Art Center is located at 329 E. Main St. in downtown Nacogdoches. For more information, call (936) 468-1131.
