Upcoming Events
Ranger Challenge, 17-19 October – SFA’s Ranger Challenge team(s) will be heading to Fort Bullis (north of San Antonio) to compete against other ROTC Ranger Challenge teams from surrounding schools. Some of the events they’ll be participating in involve: Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT); written exam over patrolling tactics; hand grenade assault course; first aide obstacle course; weapons assembly and disassembly; day and night land navigation; 10K foot march with equipment
Homecoming, October 25, 2008 – Military Science’s cadre and cadets will be participating in the Homecoming parade and will be next to Ole’ Cotton ready to fire off the canon and do push ups in support of SFA’s football team.
Field Training Exercise (FTX), 7-9 November – Military Science cadets will be heading to Fort Polk for situational training exercises where they’ll be performing battle drills, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Commissioning, December 12, 2008 – Military Science will have a ceremony to put gold bars onto newly commissioned Second Lieutenants who have graduated from Military Science’s program in conjunction with finishing their Bachelor or Master degree with SFA.
