"Lobanillo," a 2009 digital print by Christopher Talbot, is one of the pieces included in the "SFA Faculty Exhibition," which will open with a 6 p.m. reception Friday, Sept. 11, at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House, 329 E. Main St., Nacogdoches.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - An eclectic mix of artworks will be displayed in the "SFA Faculty Exhibition," which the Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Art will open at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, in the Ledbetter Gallery of The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches.

"This always-popular annual exhibition featuring recent works by the SFA studio art faculty enables East Texans to see the vast pool of talent within the school," said Christian Cutler, director of SFA galleries. "And the opening reception hosted by Nacogdoches Junior Forum gives viewers a chance to meet the artists."

Included in the show are works by John Daniel, professor emeritus; professors Peter Andrew, Piero Fenci, Gary Frields, Charlie Jones and Robert Kinsell; assistant professors Neal Cox, Chad Erpelding, Maki Hajikano, Lauren McAdams, Michelle Rozic and Christopher Talbot; and instructor Gary Parker.

Other artists include adjunct faculty members Brad Maule, Corinne Jones, Julie King, Aloma Marquis, Marty Prince and Scott Runnels; shop supervisor Ron King; and post-graduate fellow Kira Enriquez.

The exhibition, sponsored in part by the SFA Friends of the Visual Arts and Nacogdoches Junior Forum, will run through Saturday, Nov. 7. Regular gallery hours are 12:30 to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday. Admission is free. The Cole Art Center is located at 329 E.
