NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The SFA College of Fine Arts and School of Theatre will present a student production of "Animal Keepers" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 6, and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7. All shows are in the Downstage Theatre of the Griffith Fine Arts Building, 2222 Alumni Dr.

Within the one-act play, Marian Winters uses a veterinarian's waiting room as a microcosm to explore human nature, explained director Ashley Zednick, Jacksonville senior.

Cast members are seniors Alicia Earls of Bay City, Corey Horn of Missouri City and Nick Mills of Houston; juniors Justin Guillory of Dallas and Blake Weir of Sugar Land; and freshmen Matt Phillips of Sour Lake, Josh Turay of Carrollton and Emily Harris of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Dominic Moretta, Dallas junior, is the stage manager.

Previously at SFA Zednick has directed "Emotional Baggage." She has also served as stage manager for Mainstage productions of "Big River," "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie," "Lend Me a Tenor" and "The Servant of Two Masters" and for student productions of "All Saint's Day" and "The Labyrinth." She gained further experience as stage manager and assistant stage manager for the Texas Shakespeare Festival and as the stage manager for SFA's Dance Festival.
