The SFA Volunteer Program and the Office of Multicultural Affairs at Stephen F. Austin State University will help Nacogdoches ISD schools in multiple service projects for the MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 18.

SFA students, faculty and staff, along with community members, will partner up to complete 10 service projects in one day for local elementary, middle and high schools. The projects vary from creating a leveled book room to building benches and
revitalizing flowerbeds in front of schools.

Registration will begin at 11 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom on the SFA campus. Following opening ceremonies, volunteers will receive lunch and will be sent to the service sites to work for several hours, followed by closing ceremonies at 6:30 p.m. back on campus.

Participants will also get a free T-shirt, a chance to add to their service hours, and will be providing a great gift to the NISD schools.
