The SFA Department of English Reading Series presents novelist Ladette Randolph and poet Kristin Naca at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4 in the Liberal Arts North building, Room 102.

Randolph is the author of the novel "A Sandhills Ballad" and the short story collection "This is Not the Tropics." She has received several awards for her writing, including three Nebraska Book Awards, a Rona Jaffe grant and a Virginia Faulkner award. She has also been reprinted in Best New American Voices. Randolph is currently the editor-in-chief of the journal Ploughshares and a faculty member at Emerson College.

Naca's poems have appeared in Harpur Palate and Indiana Review and are forthcoming in Bloom and Rio Grande Review. Her book "Bird Eating Bird" was selected by Yusef Komunyakaa for the 2008 National Poetry Series mtvU prize. Naca also teaches poetics and creative writing courses at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn.
