A General Business B.B.A. degree with a focus on law

The business legal studies emphasis combines the core business fundamentals of SFA’s Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with an in-depth focus on laws and regulations. Students who choose this emphasis complete 21 hours of coursework in business law, economics, finance and business communication.

This highly customizable program provides you with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of laws and regulations related to your career goals and interests. Courses cover topics such as negotiations, risk management, investments, oil and gas law, real estate law and international law.

The business legal studies emphasis

Students interested in earning a degree with the business legal studies emphasis must complete the core requirements for the B.B.A. degree in General Business, plus:

  • 9 hours from BLW 350, 366, 437, 456, 468, 478 or GBU 400
  • 6 hours from ECO 331, FIN 357 or 361, GBU 321 or MGT 373
  • 3 hours from ACC 343, ECO 345, GBU 485, MGT 379, MKT 425 or 357
  • 3 hours from BCM 450 or GBU 440
