A multi-faceted degree for the modern world

The Division of Multidisciplinary Programs is unique among academic departments at SFA.  Established in 2012, our department offers highly motivated students the chance to accomplish a range of objectives and incorporate different fields of interest into a college degree. Design your own unique program of study. Combine coursework from several majors. Earn college credit for vocational training and work experience.

An interdisciplinary studies degree will prepare you for meaningful professional work in a changing cultural and economic environment.

A message from the division director, Dr. Joyce Johnston

The Division of Multidisciplinary Programs takes education outside of the box. Whether you are interested in pursuing philosophical questions and honing critical reasoning skills essential to any profession through a philosophy degree, or plan to design your own degree through a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies or a Bachelor of Science in multidisciplinary studies, our division has the fit for you. Please contact us to find out how you can design your own degree to fit your own academic, professional and personal goals.
