Relevant, No-Cost Course Materials

Do you need one more reason to choose SFA? How about this: In an effort to make college more affordable, we’re testing a pilot program that provides free course materials. Starting in fall 2021, we will offer no-cost reading material in one section of the following core courses:

• American History, 1877-Present
• First semester German
• General Psychology
• World History Since 1500

In other words, you may save money on books while satisfying your core liberal arts requirements.

But that’s not the only way we’re re-thinking core curriculum. We’re also changing the way we teach these required courses to make them more meaningful, more interesting and — most importantly — more relevant to your career goals.
