SFA is looking forward to meeting your needs as a new non-degree seeking student. Non-degree seeking students who wish to enroll in a limited number of courses solely for self-improvement, personal enrichment, or job advancement may apply for admission as career-improvement/ self-improvement (CI/SI) students.
We encourage all qualified applicants to apply for admission to the University. To determine if you are eligible for admission please refer to the Admission Policy for Non-Degree Seeking Students section below. An Undergraduate Application for Admission may be submitted as early as one year prior to enrollment
Admission Policy for Non-Degree Seeking Students
Applicants who wish to enroll in a limited number of courses solely for self-improvement or personal enrichment may apply as non-degree seeking students. Usually, these applicants wish to enrich their lives through life-long learning experiences. Non-degree seeking applicants may accumulate no more than 24 semester hours at which time they must apply as a degree-seeking student and meet all applicable admission requirements. Non-degree status does not constitute matriculation to the University nor are these applicants eligible for financial aid, veteran’s benefits, or intercollegiate athletic competition and are subject to all applicable TASP regulations and SFA probation/suspension policy.
Non-degree seeking applicants must submit a completed undergraduate application and must meet with an SFA admission counselor to determine other required documents for admission.
