The Community College Transfer Scholarship Program offers new students transferring from community colleges ONLY an opportunity to qualify for awards up to $2000. The scholarship is awarded to students who start either fall or spring semester.
There is no application for the scholarship. Students will automatically be considered and notified of their eligibility upon receipt of a completed application for admission and official college transcript(s). It is strongly recommended that students apply early in order to receive full consideration for the scholarship.
ELIGIBILITY AND PROCEDURES:
Students transferring from community college(s) to SFA with a minimum of 45 transferable semester hours (as computed by the SFA Office of Admissions) will be awarded the following amounts, depending on the grade point average:
Scholarships may be renewed for the second year at SFA to students who participate in the program during the first year, and earn a minimum of 24 semester hours (during the fall and spring terms only) of academic credit (at SFA) by the end of the second long semester with a GPA of at least 3.25.
