The Student Foundation Association Leadership Scholarship

The Student Foundation Association, a group of student leaders, has been raising money for over ten years for the purpose of endowing a leadership scholarship for incoming freshmen. The scholarship marks a unique opportunity for student leaders at SFA to help support the leaders of the future. The scholarship funds are raised by selling the Walk of Recognition bricks which are located in front of the Stephen F. Austin statue. The Student Foundation Association members will continue to sell bricks in hope of establishing more scholarships in the years to come.

The Student Foundation Association awards its leadership scholarship to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated leadership capabilities and academic achievement throughout their high school career. The Student Foundation Association will be accepting applications for freshmen students entering SFA in the fall of 2006. The winner will be selected by a panel of Student Foundation members. The Office of Financial Assistance will then be notified of the recipient and, in turn, credit the winner's account. The amount of the scholarship has yet to be determined for the 2006-2007 school year.

Applications must be mailed to the University Advancement office. Students may contact the Office of University Advancement at (936) 468-5406 with any further questions.

Freshmen entering SFA in the fall of 2006 can apply for the scholarship (Deadline: April 1) and this scholarship is not renewable. Complete applications should be mailed to:
