Walk Across Texas 2017

Walk Across Texas is a four-week program (Monday, October 16, 2017 - Sunday, November 12, 2017) to help people of all ages support one another to establish the habit of regular physical activity. Walk Across Texas is recognized as a Best Practice Physical Activity Program by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Since 1996, thousands of Texans have participated in Walk Across Texas!

Team Registration

Teams of four can consist of any full time / part-time faculty and staff member, retiree, and graduate assistant. Each team must have a team captain whose responsibility is to encourage fellow members to submit their Individual Mileage Log and who will serve as the point of contact during the WAT. Registration runs through Friday, October 13.
All teams must submit both of the following:

  1. Team Registration Form
  2. An Individual Registration Form on each team member

Individual Registration (No Team)

Want to participate, but not on a team? You can participate as an individual. Registration runs through Friday, October 13.

Mileage Logs

Mileage keeping begins Monday, October 16 and continues until WAT ends on Sunday, November 12. Each team member is responsible for completing and submitting their Individual Mileage Log to their team captain. Team captains are responsible for submitting the Team Mileage Log by noon (12:00 p.m.) every Wednesday to the WAT Coordinator.
