Group Exercise

The Group "Axe" Exercise Program offers a variety of classes that range in intensity and complexity, and are free for SFA students, Rec members, and their guests. Students and Rec members must have an active SFA ID.

Additionally, all Group Axe classes require that each participant pick up a Jax Pass from the Rec Welcome Desk, which are available 30 minutes before the class begins. Class space is limited to 30 participants for more classes, 9 for cycling classes.

All Group Fitness Instructors are CPR/AED certified and have completed both the Campus Recreation New Hire training program, as well as the Fitness Instructor Training Program. Many have previous group fitness leadership experience and hold a nationally recognized group fitness certification or are in the process of obtaining their certification.
