The practice of using touch as a healing method derives from customs and techniques rooted in ancient history. It helps reduce stress and produces deep relaxation. Learn proper massage techniques from our certified massage therapist, Therese Hostetter at this interactive event. Be sure to bring a friend or significant other! Pre-register in the Rec Administration Office to save your spot, but walk-ins are also welcome!

Every Spring semester, the Love Your Genes work team promotes healthy body images during the National Eating Disorder Association Awareness Week. We are aware that some students, both male and female, do not see their own beauty and self-worth because of today's unrealistic, perfection-driven culture. We know that 80% of American women are dissatisfied with their appearance. Displays with pictures are set up to dispel myths and promote more realistic ideas about beauty. There will be a variety of activities, panels, and interactive displays all week. Learn about the various activities you can participate in.
Mind Over Madness Yoga
7:00pm-8:00pm in the Rec Center Gym
Learn how to use yoga to release stress and relax your body and mind. This one hour class is for all fitness levels and no yoga experience is necessary. Mats will be provided. Check out this promo video here!
