Employee Wellness is designed to create opportunities for education and participation in programs which will improve the overall health and wellness of each employee of SFA. We strive to meet the needs of all full-time and part-time faculty, administrators, staff and all retired faculty and staff. Employee Wellness will take place in various facilities on campus. Programs are scheduled before and after work plus during the noon hour.
This free program, which is open to 20 SFA faculty / staff for the Fall 2015 semester, is focused on getting you healthier through fitness and nutrition, while providing you with many of the great resources that SFA has to offer.

JULY: How to Make Stress Your FriendStress. It makes your heart pound, your breathing quicken and your forehead sweat. But while stress has been made into a public health enemy, new research suggests that stress may only be bad for you if you believe that to be the cause. Watch this video on how to see stress as a positive and how to reduce it.
JUNE: Try something new for 30 daysIs there something you've always wanted to do, but never have gotten around to it? Watch this short video that offers a neat way to think about setting and achieving goals.
Counseling Services offers several wellness trainings on request:
- "QPR" Suicide Prevention Training
- "Safe Space Training" which fosters awareness and a supportive environment for sexual orientation and gender identity issues
