The group exercise program offers a variety of classes that range in intensity and complexity. Each of the many classes offered through the Campus Recreation Department are FREE for all students as well as individuals with memberships. The classes will be offered at various times in four locations: Multi-Purpose Room 1, Multi-Purpose Room 2, the Outdoor Pool and the Cycling Studio. There will be two sessions of classes per semester. Classes will begin the 1st week of the fall and spring semesters and extend through exam week.
Program Schedule
Session I - June 2 - July 3 and Session II - July 7 - August 8
The summer sessions will require no registration. Individuals who wish to take classes during summer sessions I or II must obtain a Jax Pass at the Welcome Desk of the Student Recreation Center. The Jax Pass will be given to the first 30 participants who enter within the hour before the class begins. Limited space is available for cycling and water classes. There will be no May-mester classes.
Program Class Policies
All classes are held within the Student Recreation Center. All participants who wish to enter into a class must wear appropriate workout attire with non-marking soled athletic shoes. No one will be admitted into a class after the class has begun. This is to ensure your safety and to avoid disruption of the class. One may bring his or her own equipment to the appropriate class, however proper equipment will be provided. *Classes may be canceled at the discretion of the Campus Recreation staff.*
