Outdoor Pursuits is determined to give students the chance to experience the outdoors and learn the skills they need to enjoy being outside. The OP Trip program has been designed with you, the student, in mind. We have planned exciting adventures to various places, all at affordable prices. Transportation, equipment and meals are included in the trip cost. There is something for everyone in our wide range of activities which includes; hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, canoeing, mountain biking and more. Check out our wonderful selection of trips. Outdoor Pursuits Trips

Horseback Riding in East Texas
February 7th • $20
Registration Deadline: February 2nd

We will take you on a day trail ride through the piney woods of East Texas. Not only will you ride, but you'll also learn about basic equestrian maintenance and care!

Canoeing on Caddo Lake
February 14th – 15th • $20
Registration Deadline: February 9th

Enjoy beautiful Caddo Lake over Valentines weekend, with your special someone, your friends, or just your friendly Outdoor Pursuits Leader!

Mountain Biking
February 28th • $20
Registration Deadline: February 23rd

Tyler State Park is renowned in the biking community for amazing mountain bike trails. It offers three levels of trails, starting with a warm-up trail, all the way up to insane.

Ride 'em Cowboy Rodeo!
March 7th • $5
Registration Deadline:March 2nd

We are taking a van and lunch and we're going to go watch our fellow SFA students participating in a Regional Rodeo competition.

Skiing in Colorado
March 14th - 22nd • $375
Registration Deadline: March 6th

We'll spend three days in a winter wonderland skiing/ snowboarding the slopes, sledding the hillsides, snow shoeing in the wilderness, building snow caves to sleep in and finding hot springs to soak in.

Rock Climbing: Wichita Mt. Wildlife
April 9th - 12th • $90
Registration Deadline: April 3rd

The Wichita Mt. Wildlife Refuge is home to spectacular views, beautiful scenery, and rock climbing. This is a great trip for climbers of all levels and abilities.

Full Moon Float on Lake Nacogdoches
May 2nd • $15
Registration Deadline:April 27th

Come out to the lake for a relaxing evening. We will make dinner and enjoy the moon from the lake.

Canyoneering in the Southwest
May 19th – 27th • $250
Registration Deadline: May 8th

Maybe you will hike a dry stream bed, hug the trail edge on a ridgeline or swim with your pack above your head as we move through amazing geologic terrain. This trip occurs during May-Mester.
