You don't have to be on campus to get help with crafting and perfecting your professional documents and profiles!

Career Coaching
Students and alumni have the option to meet with a career coach via Zoom. This allows the career coach to share their screen with the student and more easily introduce the student to relevant career development resources.
Be sure to pick "Zoom" as your appointment medium. Once the appointment is confirmed by a career coach, the coach will send you the link to the Zoom virtual meeting.
Mock Interviews
The CCPD offers an Interviewing Skills career coaching appointment, where students can speak with a career coach about how to prepare for an upcoming interview.
There are two options for students to practice interviewing.
InterviewStream
Available to all students and alumni, InterviewStream is a virtual mock interview platform that allows students to create realistic, customized interview scenarios using Video Capture, which allows you to capture your responses to interview questions using a webcam-enabled device. This feature enables you to see exactly how you will look and sound to a prospective employer.
Practice Using InterviewStream
Zoom-based mock interviews
Available to alumni and students with 60 or more credit hours, students who complete a mock interview via Zoom still get the benefit of one-on-one time with a CCPD team member to receive feedback on their interview performance.
Be sure to pick "Zoom" as your appointment medium. Once confirmed, the team member will send you instructions on how to access the Zoom meeting.
Jobs and Internship Search
Handshake offers thousands of jobs and internships from employers looking to hire Lumberjacks! Simply click on "Jobs" and begin exploring opportunities across the country and around the world. Or, consider requesting a Job and Internship Search career coaching appointment and learn about all the resources the CCPD offers to assist in this process.
Career Fairs and Expos
There are two ways to explore virtual career fairs and expos
- The CCPD is currently offering select events in a virtual format.
- Log in to Handshake and view the Events section to search for an event that fits your interest.
Students in the Houston area should make plans to attend the Texas Job Fair! Hosted each spring by the Houston Area Consortium of Career Centers, this event attracts many employers and is a great option for those living in or near Houston. SFA helps to host this event, so our students and alumni are welcome to attend for free!
Workshops
The CCPD offers Zoom-based attendance for many of our educational workshops.
If Zoom attendance is an option, it will be noted in the event description. To attend these virtually, register for the event through Handshake and you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for how to view the workshop in real time via Zoom.
