About the Career Services Center
The Career Services Center is a centralized career planning and development office serving all divisions of the University with services available to all Stephen F. Austin State University students and alumni. The primary purpose of Career Services is to empower students to initiate, develop, effectively implement and evaluate their individual career plans. This is a process that will be fostered during the entire period of the student’s involvement with SFA.
The Career Services Center celebrates the diversity of the SFA community and therefore is committed to offering services without respect to gender, age, race, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, religion, veteran status or disability. In keeping with this commitment, any individual who requires a special accommodation to take advantage of, or participate in any program should contact the Office of Disability Services or the Career Services Center at least one week prior to the program’s date so that the accommodation can be made.
Mission
The mission of the Stephen F. Austin State University Career Service Center is to assist students and alumni through quality programming in the development and implementation of life-long career decision making and job-search skills in order to maximize their career satisfaction and employment opportunities.
It is also our mission to assist employers in their search for qualified personnel by providing comprehensive services designed to put them into contact with outstanding SFA job candidates seeking internship, part-time and full-time professional positions.
In serving faculty and staff, it is our mission to provide opportunities for networking, administering resources that will aid in delivering career-related information to SFA students and assisting in student employment.
