Hello! My name is Jenny Davis and I serve as the Assistant Director for Career Services. Beginning my employment at SFA in February of 2007, I am the newest edition to the Career Services staff. However, I am no stranger to the University – I am proud to say that I am an SFA alumnus! As the Assistant Director, I am here to promote the valuable services we provide to SFA students, alumni and faculty. I also help students and graduates explore career opportunities and sharpen their job-search skills.
I organize Career Days and Job Fairs for SFA students and alumni to attend. I ensure that you are properly prepared to partake in these events and make the most of these opportunities! I am in constant contact with recruiters that participate in these events and work hard to promote the exceptional talent of the students and alumni that are connected to our University.
I also oversee the use of our Career Library, which contains a wealth of career-related materials and references. We have many books, directories, catalogs and publications that provide employment information on job markets, industries, employers and careers. I urge you to come in and check it out – this is a great place to start if you are just beginning your career planning!
Lastly, I would like to share that I am here to help you refine your job-search strategies. I am able to assist you in a variety of ways, including mock interviews, resume and letter preparation, job-search workshops and networking. I invite you to come in and see me!
