Hey there! I’m Sheri Mullican and I serve as the Associate Director of Counseling and Career Services. Our department consists of five divisions; Counseling (mental health and career-related issues), Testing (GRE, GMAT and other major field tests or entrance exams), Orientation, Student Employment and Career Services. My main responsibility is to assist our Director in any projects that he assigns to me, BUT I also place Career Services at the top of my priority list!
I am a native Nacogdoches girl and spent some time in west Texas going to undergraduate school. I met and married the man of my dreams there and then brought him to Nacogdoches so I could complete my Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degree in counseling here at SFA. We have three great kids who keep us very busy, and we love raising our family in this small-town atmosphere.
I came to work at SFA in 2003 and have been dedicated to improving and updating the services offered to students and alumni within Career Services. Our goals are to help you discover what you want to do with your life after college, groom you for that career by developing your job searching skills and then assist you in “landing your first job” after graduation.

To name only a few, we offer career testing and assessments, job-search tips, research materials for specific professional fields, resume-writing assistance, mock interviews and much more!
