Hi! My name is Tonna Davis and I am the Student Employment Coordinator for Career Services. Our main focus is to inform students how they can work part time while attending SFA and to assist them with processing the required paperwork.
Student Employment provides a “connection” between the employer and the prospective student employee. I know our department greatly depends on our student workers and we could not accomplish the tasks before us, if we did not have student workers beside us. And, the student workers are learning valuable skills, responsibilities, and how to adapt to a work environment that will carry over into their chosen profession. It’s a “win-win” situation!
Helping SFA students has been a part of my life for over 15 years! Yes, I’ve been around for a while and I’ve seen a lot of changes, but I’ve always been impressed with the overall concern of SFA administration in meeting the needs of SFA students!
Student Employment is here to answer questions and provide a worthwhile service whether students are seeking employment, or they’ve been hired and need to complete their paperwork. Student Employment is only one facet of the many services we offer in our department. Career Services is here to meet the needs of the students and I enjoy being part of that endeavor!
