Career counseling focuses on developing career goals and choosing a compatible academic major. Often, discussing one's options is sufficient. If more investigation is needed then there are 2 career inventories we can use to aid in the process.
The Strong Interest Inventory is an online inventory that asses interest patterns. The Strong generates a list of occupations compatible with your interest and pattern.
The Type Focus is an online inventory that matches occupations based on a personality assessment. The Type Focus generates a list of occupations as well as summaries of personality types.
Once these are completed a follow up session is made with the counselor to discuss the results and possible majors.
