Transfer
Orientation 2010
Session 1: April 30, 2010
Session 2: July 1, 2010
Session 3: August 5-6, 2010*
* This session is mixed between freshman students and transfer students.
TIP: Transfer students who attend orientation are able to take care of all their campus business in one day. Plus you get to learn some important information about the school you will be attending.
Transfer students are an important part of our university community and we want you to feel at home here. As your first step towards connecting to SFA, you are encouraged to take part in Transfer Orientation. Attendance is not required, however, it is highly recommended. Parents and/or family members are welcome to attend.
Students attending Transfer Orientation will find that academic advising and course registration are streamlined. Those students who choose not to attend Transfer Orientation are responsible for contacting their respective academic departments for times and dates that academic advisors are available.
The cost of Transfer Orientation is $35 per person and $20 per parent/family member. The fee covers administrative costs, lunch and a spirit shirt (students only). Children under four years of age are free. For children 4-17 the cost is $10.
Hey parents/family members do you want a FREE SFA T-shirt???
This year Orientation Programs will be participating in a service project to help our local community. If you are attending one of the first two transfer sessions please bring 3 non-perishable foods items with you, you will receive one free SFA T-shirt (adult sizes only). If you are attending the last transfer session, please bring 3 or more unused school supply items with you. There will be large boxes to place these items in outside of parent/family check-in. Not only do we want you to get involved with Stephen F. Austin, but the Nacogdoches community too! Thanks for your support!
