Transportation
It is the responsibility of the student to arrange transportation to and
from Orientation. Students desiring to ride share may contact the Orientation
Programs office at (936) 468-6641 to obtain a list of fellow students from
their area who are attending the same orientation. Students may then contact
each other about arranging transportation.
The city of Nacogdoches is serviced by Kerrville Bus-Coach USA. Students arriving
by bus will need additional transportation from the bus terminal to the campus.
The University Police Department provides a bus transfer service to current
and incoming SFA students free of charge. Students needing to use this service
should call the University Police Department at least 48 hours prior to their
arrival on campus to arrange for pick up. Please have your name, Social Security
or student ID number, the Orientation session you are attending and your bus
schedule.

Driving Directions
From Houston: Travel U.S. 59 North to Nacogdoches. Continue North on Business 59 (South Street) into the city of Nacogdoches. Business 59 will turn into North Street when you cross Main Street. Continue north on North Street to East College Street. Turn right onto East College Street. Steen Hall and East College Cafeteria are located on East College Street just past the four-way stop sign at Raguet Street. Parking is available around Steen Hall.
From Dallas/Fort Worth: Travel I-20 East to Kilgore. Exit Highway 42, turning right to use Highway 42 South. Highway 42 South will merge with Highway 259 in the city of Kilgore. Continue on Highway 259 South to Nacogdoches. Highway 259 South will turn into Business 59 at the Highway 259/U.S.Highway 59 interchange just North of Nacogdoches. Continue south on Business 59 (North Street) to East College Street. Turn left onto East College Street. Steen Hall and East College Cafeteria are located on East College Street just past the four-way stop sign at Raguet Street. From Austin/San Antonio: Travel I-35 to travel to San Marcos; exit Highway 21 East. Travel east on Highway 21 through Bryan/College Station to Crockett. Continue to downtown Crockett and turn onto Highway 7 East. Travel on Highway 7 East to Nacogdoches. Once in Nacogdoches, turn left from Highway 7 onto Business 59 North (South Street). Business 59 will turn into North Street when you cross Main Street. Continue North on north Street to East College Street. Turn right onto East College Street. Steen Hall and East College Cafeteria are located on East College Street just past the four-way stop sign at Raguet Street. Additional Directions:
Signs will be posted all around campus to help guide you to the correct location. Both parents and students will check-in at Lumberjack Village. The best place to park while checking-in is at the parking garage located on the corner of, Baker and Carolyn St. To get there take North Street (hwy 59) to Starr Ave and then turn left on Baker St the parking garage will be on the left. Call 936-468-4300 (Lumberjack Village) or 936-468-2400 (Lumberjack Lodge) if you get lost in your travels.
