Identification Requirements

Acceptable Primary Identification Documents

Passport with photo and signature
Driver’s license with photo and signature
State ID used by motor vehicle agency with photo and signature
National ID with photo and signature
Military ID with photo and signature

Unacceptable Identification Documents

Any expired ID
Draft classification card
Credit card of any kind
Social Security card
Learner’s permit or any temporary identification (e.g. driver’s license)
Photocopy of ID
International driver’s license
International student ID
Notary-prepared letter or document
Employee ID card

Additional Information

You MUST PRESENT YOUR PASSPORT as your primary identification document if you are testing OUTSIDE your country of citizenship.
GRE General test is only offered on computer. To register for the exam contact the testing staff at (936) 468 - 3958.
When scheduling your appointment, you must use exactly the same name as shown on the primary identification document that you will present at the test center. If the name shown on your primary identification does not match the name on your appointment record, you will not be permitted to test.
Cellular telephones, beepers, cameras, all photographic communication, computers, and electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the testing room.
Food, drinks, gum and candy are not permitted in the testing room!

MAIL: Register for the Subject Tests by completing the paper-based registration form in the center of the GRE Bulletin. See test dates and registration deadlines on back cover. Allow 3 weeks for processing.	TELEPHONE: Register for the General Test by calling Prometric Candidate Services at 1-800-473-2255 or call SFA Testing Services at 1-936-468-3958. You must use a credit card for telephone registration.
Registration Bulletins are available on the third floor of the Rusk Building or online at www.ets.org/GRE	IN-PERSON: Register for the General Test by visiting SFA Testing Services, Thomas Rusk Building, Room 328. You may use a credit card, money order or check.
	MAIL: Register for the GRE General Test by completing the Computer-Based Test Authorization Voucher Request Form in the center of the GRE Bulletin.
Score reported in 4-6 weeks!	Unofficial Scores Reports available for the verbal and quantitative sections the same day as test. Official Score Reports mailed 2-4 weeks!
