- Update September 15, 2008 - The SFA Charter School was closed on Monday, Sept. 15, due to several issues resulting from hurricane Ike. We had tree damage to the campus roof and play areas. Power outage has been an issue for the entire community. Our school does currently have power. Our university is also a site for evacuees where we share space.

- SFA Charter School boundary criteria:
- Primary Boundary – Nacogdoches ISD
- Secondary Boundary – Nacogdoches County
- Information meeting for ALL applicants: Thursday, January 8th at 6:00 pm (optional)
- Lottery Drawing:February 4th at 10:00am
- There will be approximately 70 openings!!
- SFA Charter School is an EXEMPLARY campus!!
