Bio:

Dr. Geralyn McClure Franklin began serving as interim dean in the Nelson Rusche College of Business at SFA in July 2012. Before this position, she served as associate dean for student services and M.B.A. director. Prior to that, Dr. Franklin held positions as dean of business at the University of Dallas, the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, and The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Dr. Franklin is active in AACSB International where she serves as a mentor and peer review team member and the International Council for Small Business where she serves as senior vice president for finance and control.

Bio:

Dr. Debbie DuFrene is associate dean in the Nelson Rusche College of Business at SFA. She is former chair of the Department of General Business, recently renamed as the Department of Business Communication and Legal Studies. She has taught a variety of business communication courses at SFA and previously at McNeese State University and Nicholls State University. She serves on the international board of directors for the Association for Business Communication and has co-authored multiple editions of two widely adopted business communication textbooks.

Dr. Jack R. Ethridge is Director of the Masters in Accountancy Program in the Gerald W. Schlief School of Accountancy at SFASU. He is currently the senior faculty member in the School of Accountancy with over 37 years of experience in higher education. Prior to serving as Director of the MPAC, he was chair of the Department of Accounting at SFASU.

Bio:

Marie Kelly taught as a lecturer in the Accounting Department from 1987-1991. From 2006-2010, she was an adjunct faculty member before returning to the department full-time. She received her CPA license in 1984. Prior to joining SFA in 1987, she worked for five years in public accounting and private industry in Houston, Lufkin, and Nacogdoches. She is also Texas teacher certified in Mathematics and Business, and taught at Douglass ISD for 13 years, coaching students to advance to state UIL competitions in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. She is active in the Texas Society of CPA's and the East Texas Chapter of CPA's.

Dr. Mikhail Kouliavtsev is currently an associate professor of economics at Stephen F. Austin State University. His research has been published in journals such as Economic Inquiry, Review of Industrial Organization, and Review of International Economics among others. He also serves the Director of the MBA program in the Rusche College of Business at SFA. Prior to joining the faculty at SFA, Dr. Kouliavtsev was an assistant professor of economics and statistics at Philadelphia University.

Bio:

Ryan Phelps is currently an assistant professor of economics at Stephen F. Austin State University. He has published numerous papers and given conference presentations on the causes and effects of smoking bans in the hospitality sector. Ryan is responsible for the creation and oversight of the economics reading group. Now in its second year, the group provides incentives for students from across the University to engage with faculty in energetic discussions about economic topics. Ryan has also sponsored several award winning undergraduate research projects.
