In addition to her teaching experience on the secondary, vocational, community college and university levels, Dr. Wilson has 23 years of experience working in business, industry, and government. Since joining SFA in 2003, she has published book chapters, peer-reviewed journal articles, and presented papers on the local, state, regional, national, and international levels. She has served as President of four professional associations and earned the Teacher of the Year Awards from the Texas Business and Technology Educators Association and the Association for Business Communication Southwestern United States. Dr. Marsha Bayless taught at the secondary, vocational school, and community college levels in Kansas before coming to SFA in the last century. Her doctoral dissertation in business communication won the Robert E. Slaughter Research Award. She has presented papers, written and edited proceedings, and authored journal articles and book chapters as part of her research agenda. She co-authored three editions of a Business Communication textbook and was the first woman to win the University Teaching Excellence Award at SFASU. She has served as President of five professional associations including the Association for Business Communication where she received the Francis W. Ms. Judith Biss has been a lecturer in business communication at SFASU since 1999. For nearly 20 years she worked in various managerial positions in the publishing industry, was joint-proprietor of a publishing services business in Chicago, and worked as a trainer. She presents frequently at ABC national and regional conferences, has co-authored proceedings and articles, and was recognized for distinguished papers in 2008 and 2009. Dr. Clipson has 40 years teaching experience. A recipient of numerous teaching awards reflects his love of students and teaching. He has lead in development of curriculum in business leadership and training and development. He also helped create and directs SFA 101, which this year offered 75 sections of a course helping freshmen succeed. Additionally, he is an active consultant and public speaker in leadership and communication, delivering personal and professional development programs to organizations throughout the United States. Dr. Grubbs was a partner in two separate law firms in north Texas during 23 years of private practice prior to joining SFA. He holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating and has continued with legal consulting while fulfilling his academic duties for the university. His transactional and trial and appellate experience covers a wide range of business sectors and areas of business law. He is also a certified mediator. Dr. Grubbs teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels and is also certified as an online instructor. Before her current position, she was an Assistant Professor at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. Before his current position, his experience included over twenty-five years of progressive management in the private sector, where he held the positions of; Human Resource Manager-ConAgra Foods Inc., General Manager-DFW Logistics, Warehousing Manager-Pilgrim's Pride Inc., and Vice-President of Operations-Dallas Warehouse Company. In the ten years that Mr. New served in the capacity of Human Resource Manager, he developed and wrote policy and procedure, safety, and employee manuals for logistics and food manufacturing facilities. Dr. Wells is a Partner, Oil and Gas for the Zeleskey Law Firm in Lufkin, Texas. Her practice focuses on oil and gas law and she represents several large oil and gas exploration companies performing title examination and preparing title opinions. She is experienced in negotiating oil and gas leases, surface damages, pipeline rights-of-way and preparing deeds. She also represents mineral owners and assists them in managing their mineral assets. She serves as a mediator for oil and gas disputes. Wells served as an articles editor on the Houston Law Review and was a member of the Christian Legal Society. She was inducted into the Order of the Barristers and the Order of the Coif for academic achievements and she received a Lex Award for Contracts II.
