Hearing Aid Service & Repair
Hearing aid service and repairs are provided for most makes and models, including cleaning and functional checks of the devices.
Tinnitus Management Services
TINNITUS is pronounced either ti-NIGHT-us or TIN-i-tus. Both pronunciations are correct; the American Tinnitus Association uses ti-NIGHT-us. The word is of Latin origin, meaning "to tinkle or to ring like a bell." Put simply, tinnitus is the perception of sound in the ears or head where no external source is present. Some call it "ringing in the ears" or "head noise" (American Tinnitus
Association). Dr. Perry will assist you in addressing your tinnitus and provide options for relief.
Auditory Processing Evaluation Auditory processing is a term used to describe what happens when your brain recognizes and interprets the sounds around you. Some people with normal hearing ability often complain that they can hear, but just can’t understand what is being said. Full diagnostic evaluations, with a team of specialist, are available.
Vestibular (Balance) Assessments
Balance assessments for the dizzy patient may facilitate treatment and rehabilitation. The ability to maintain balance is closely linked to our ears, and can often be related to some hearing loss.
Earmolds, Swim Molds & Hearing Protection Devices
Custom swimplugs, earmolds, earplugs, and earbuds for personal listening equipment are available in a variety of colors and materials.
Cerumen (Ear Wax) Management
In some cases, cerumen requires removal from the ear canal. This can be completed in the office. For those cases unable to be treated here, referral to an otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat specialist) will be made.
Assistive Listening Devices
Amplified and hearing aid compatible telephones with visual display, television amplifiers, vibrating alarm clocks and more are available.
