Organizational Communication

Organizational Communication prepares students for organizational life in profit and nonprofit organizations, as employees and volunteers. Students will learn how communication influences the complexity of organizational life. Coursework develops specific proficiencies in conflict resolution, risk and crisis communication, leading and managing people, emotion management, working within various types of organizations, and assessing the effects of technology in organizational settings. A concentration in Organizational Communication prepares students for careers in management, event planning, conflict resolution, training and development, human resources, consulting, profit and non-profit organizational leadership, and higher education.
