The College of Education at Stephen F. Austin State University continues to be the College of Choice for educator preparation in Texas. Building on a long and distinguished tradition of excellence, we continue to add program options and candidates – with a current enrollment of more than 3300 majors. Created as a teacher’s college, the University opened in 1923 and has continued to provide many exciting opportunities for our candidates as they prepare for careers in education.
