The Alternative Certification (PBIC) Program at SFASU is approved by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) as an acceptable alternative route to certification under the new federal law "No Child Left Behind." This program is designed for individuals holding a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, who are seeking teacher certification. Oftentimes, individuals ask questions about our alternative certification programs.
Several steps are required for admission into the PBIC program.
