The Hardy and Ira Hairston Memorial Scholarship

Recipient must be pursuing certification in elementary education at Stephen F. Austin State University.

Scholarship will consist of interest earned from the permanent fund administered by the SFASU Alumni Foundation. One half of the scholarship will be awarded in the fall, the other half in the spring.

The chair of the Department of Elementary Education will appoint a committee to select the recipient.

Applications for this scholarship are available in the Alumni Office.

Deadline for applying for this scholarship is February 1 each year.

Recipients of this scholarship are required to communicate by letter with the donor of this scholarship, if possible, and attend the Homecoming banquet each year.
