The Ruey M. and Sally B. Honea Scholarship

Endowed by Joe M. and Marilyn H. Lee, daughter and son-in-law of Ruey and Sally Honea. Mrs. Honea was a member of the Class of 1950 and 1951.

Recipient must be enrolled at Stephen F. Austin State University.
Recipient must be an Elementary Education major.
Recipient must possess outstanding character. Academic standing is important, but will not be the sole criteria for choosing the recipient.
Scholarship will consist of interest earned on a permanent endowment. One half of the scholarship will be awarded in the fall and one half in the spring.
A selection committee appionted by the Chair of the Elementary Education Department will choose the recipient.
Scholarship applications must be in the Alumni Office by February 1 of each year.
