The M. J. Muller Scholarship

The following qualifications were established in 1978 to select a recipient for the annual scholarship to be awarded by the M. J. Scholarship fund.

Recipients must be enrolled and in good standing at Stephen F. Austin State University.
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of financial need, scholastic achievement, and character.
Recipient must be an Elementary Education major.
Recipient may be of any classification, and must be a graduate of Nacogdoches High School.
Scholarships will be derived from interest on the principal of the Muller Scholarship fund.
The Stephen F. Austin State University Alumni Association Scholarship Committee will select recipients based on the above criteria or on references and recommendations from such persons knowledgeable about the applicant.
One half of the scholarship will be awarded in the fall. Grades and academic performance will be reviewed at the end of the fall semester. I fthose are satisfactory, the remaining half will be awarded for the spring semester. A 3.0 grade point average must be maintained.

The deadline for applying is February 1 of each year.
