Exercise Physiology Laboratory
SFA's Exercise Physiology Laboratory has excellent equipment available for instruction and research.
Equipment available includes:
- Quinton Q4500 Stress test system
- 2 treadmills (Q55XT, Q65), with programmable controllers
- Computerized automated blood pressure unit
- 2 Monark Bicycle ergometers
- Vacumed metabolic/gas analyzer (vista mini-cpx)
- Various anthopometric and body composition analysis tools
- 9 L wet spirometer (lung capacity)
- Micro-hermatocrit centrifuge (Autocrit Ultra 3)
- Enviromental Chamber
- Skin and Core teperature measurement (Isothermex 16 channel)
- Urine analysis / Specific gravity (Reichert refractometer)
