Scholarships
The June Irwin Scholarship is awarded annually to the senior woman kinesiology major with the highest grade point average.
The Lucille Norton Scholarship was established in 1963 and is awarded to the junior or senior women kinesiology major who has earned above average grades and who has participated extensively in departmental co-curricular activities.
The Alvera Griffin Health Education Scholarship was founded by Dr. Griifin in 1979. To be eligible for this scholarship the student must be a junior or senior health science major or minor.
The Dorothy Allen Health Science Scholarship is awarded annually. It was established in 1990.
The John and Beverly Linney Health and Physical Education Scholarship is available for students planning to enter the coaching profession. Several scholarships are available annually.
The Denard Haden Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a junior or senior dance teaching field student who has demonstrated outstanding dance performance skills, active participation in the dance program, and financial need.
The Nina Partin Athletic Trainer Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate Kinesiology major who has been accepted to the Texas Athletic Training Internship.
The Jane Robertson Scholarship is awarded to a Kinesiology major with an emphasis in Special Education
