Dr. Pauline M. Sampson, Ph.D.

Dr. Pauline M. Sampson, Ph.D.Pauline M. Sampson, Ph.D., assistant professor, received her doctoral degree from Iowa State University at Ames. Her Master of Science degree in special education was awarded by Drake University. Sampson has 27 years of experience in public schools as a teacher, consultant, principal, director of special education, and superintendent. During her tenure as superintendent in Iowa, Sampson designed a five-year facility plan and a five-year curriculum design and delivery plan, and she developed the Annual Progress Report for the state. She brings extensive experience in school improvement efforts with an emphasis on school change and organization development. Her areas of specialization include the superintendency, instructional strategies, and parental involvement. Her current research interests include superintendency, continuous school improvement, distance learning, and transitions to higher education.
