English Minor in Technical & Professional Writing (18 Credit Hours)
The technical writing minor is designed to prepare students with the skills necessary to pursue a career as a technical or professional writer, or to provide those with major concentrations in technical fields with the writing skills that the leaders in those professions find most valuable.

*Choose two courses from: ENG 335 (if not used as a required course), ENG 344, ENG 382, ENG 473 (if not used as a required course), ENG 481, MCM 103.
*Courses from other departments with appropriate focus on professional writing, editing, or layout may be included in the six hours of electives with the approval of the department chair or director of the minor. Students should be aware that these courses may have prerequisites that are not part of the minor. Example courses that may be found suitable include ART 270, MCM 301, MCM 403, COM 406, or MCM 430.
