Accepting Financial Aid Awards

After all required documents have been submitted to the SFA Financial Aid Office and your award has been packaged, you will receive an email at your SFA email address telling you to view/accept/decline your offer of financial assistance. Listed below are the instructions for accepting your aid on mySFA:

Go to www.mySFA.sfasu.edu. Enter your User Name and PIN and click "OK".
Click on "myServices"
Click on Student & Financial Aid Services
Under the title of Financial Aid click on "Accept Awards"
Choose the Award Year and click submit
This will open up your personal award letter. For each award listed please Accept or Decline the award by making the selection in the "Action" column.

Student Loan Information

If you are awarded and accept a Stafford Loan and would like to accept a partial amount, you may enter the partial amount on your myAwards.
ALL students accepting a Stafford subsidized and/or unsubsidized loan for the first time at SFA must complete Loans by Web (LBW). This is a web based program that allows you to select a lender for your Stafford Loan and print or e-sign your promissory note.
ALL first-time, freshmen borrowers must complete entrance counseling in addition to Loans by Web. (This is completed during the LBW process.)
When completing LBW you will be asked to supply two personal references. You will need the following information for these references:
- Full Name
- Complete Address
- Telephone Number
  Note: Your references must live at two separate addresses.

Financial Aid will not credit your bill until mySFA and Loans by Web (if accepting a Stafford Loan) have been completed.
