SFA to Present 'Your Hit Parade' Dinner Theater

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts, School of Music and Friends of Music will present a dinner theater titled "Your Hit Parade: The War Years 1941-45" Friday, Jan. 18, and Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Fredonia Convention Center. All proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund in the voice/choral area within the SFA School of Music.

SFA music faculty members Ric and Debbie Berry, Deborah Dalton, David Howard, Nita Hudson, Tim King and Scott and Kimberly LaGraff will perform songs popular during World War II. Shirley Watterston will accompany on the piano.

Ensemble pieces include "I've Got a Gal in Kalamazoo," "Java Jive" and "Sentimental Journey." Among the solo performances are Ric Berry singing "What'll I Do?," David Howard singing "A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square," Nita Hudson singing "I'll Be Seeing You" and Scott LaGraff singing "Long Ago and Far Away."

A cash bar will open at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.

Seating at tables for up to 10 people is by reservation only. Tickets are $35 each, and special patron seating is available for $60, $75 or $100. The deadline for purchasing tickets is Tuesday, Jan. 15.
