SFA Art Galleries Announce Holiday Closings

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University art galleries will be closed during a portion of the university's semester break.
Griffith Gallery, located in Room 208 of the Griffith Fine Arts Building on the SFA campus will be closed Saturday, Dec. 15, through Monday, Jan.14. The gallery is currently exhibiting "Russian Icons from the Collection of Mary Moody Northen," which will run through Sunday, Feb. 10.
The Art Center @ The Old Opera House, located at 329 E. Main Street in downtown Nacogdoches, will be closed Friday, Dec. 21, through Tuesday, Jan. 1. "John Daniel: works from 1964 to 2007" is currently being shown on the first floor and will run through Friday, March 7. The second floor exhibition, "The Threads of Culture: Andean Textiles through Time," will close Monday, Dec. 10.
Regular hours for both galleries are 12:30 to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is free. For more information, please call (936) 468-1131.
