LEND ME A TENOR Oct. 2 - 6, 7:30 p.m. Ken Ludwig's wildly popular 1930s-era farce was called "the funniest show on Broadway" when it opened in New York in 1989. Mistaken identities, plots and counterplots, amorous interludes and outrageous characters all come together in a classic backstage comedy that sets the opera world on its ear. Alan Nielsen directs. Tickets are $12 for adult and $6 for senior or student. |
AS YOU LIKE IT Nov. 13 - 17, 7:30 p.m. Love conquers all in one of Shakespeare's most charming comedies. Independently exiled to the enchanting (and perhaps enchanted) Forest of Arden, young lovers Rosalind and Orlando find each other again... except that he doesn't know that, since she's in disguise. There are other romances, too, as well as the famous observation that "all the world is a stage." Rick Jones directs. Tickets are $18 for adult, $12 for senior, $6 for student. Read Press Release 1 This play is also part of the University Series. |
THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE Feb. 19 - 23, 7:30 p.m. The students of a conservative Edinburgh, Scotland girls' school of the 1930s idolize their irrepressible teacher, Miss Brodie, who instills the value of art, passion and daring in the hearts and minds of her "gerls." Brodie advises them to "follow me." And they do. But one... will betray her. Allen Oster directs. Tickets are $18 for adult, $12 for senior, $6 for student. Read Press Release! This play is also part of the University Series. |
A FESTIVAL OF NEW AMERICAN PLAYS This biennial festival brings world-famous playwrights and their newest works to the SFA campus for two staged readings of each of the included plays. Be a part of the excitement as you and the playwrights view the premiere performances of what could become America's newest award-winning dramas! Tickets are $12 for adult and $6 for senior and student. |
