Stephen F. Austin State University

I grew up in Nacogdoches and graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1964 and Stephen F. Austin State University in 1968. I graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1972 and have practiced dentistry in Nacogdoches for 34 years.

I have two daughters: Leslie, an anesthesiologist, is married and lives in Dallas. Julie, a mechanical engineer with Cameron, is married and lives in Houston.Barbara, my wife of 33 years, is a realtor with Alamo Realty.

I have served as the vice president for the executive committee of the SFASU Foundation Board and as a charter board member of the East Texas Blood Center. Currently, I am a member of the Nacogdoches Booster Club, Piney Woods Dental Study Club, Piney Woods Chapter of the Safari Club International, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, East Texas Dental Society, and First Christian Church in Nacogdoches. I am also a life member of the SFA Alumni Association. As a supporter of SFA, my wife and I created a scholarship for pre-professional SFA students through the Alumni Association, and we plan to continue our contributions to SFA in gifts of money and time.

I am a proud alumnus. My goal as chairman of the SFASU Foundation is to help make SFASU an even stronger academic university, and I feel honored to serve in this position.
